According to Metro, Chelsea have been handed a huge boost in the race for Aubameyang. Reports suggest that the Borussia Dortmund star has rejected big money offers from China in favour of staying in Europe.

Aubameyang is one of the most consistent strikers in Europe at the moment. He had an amazing season with Dortmund, scoring 40 goals in 46 appearances. The Gabonese International won the Bundesliga Golden Boot award as he scored 31 goals in the competition, beating Lewandowski on the last day.

Aubameyang is keen to make a move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer. In interviews, he revealed that he might have to leave the club as he wants to compete and win trophies.

A number of clubs were alerted by this with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and AC Milan enquiring about the player.

Antonio Conte has joined the race for the player as he looks to find a replacement for Diego Costa. The Spanish forward is set to leave the club after being informed he is not part of next season’s plan.

Aubameyang was poised to make a move to China this summer. According to Kicker, he was offered a £26million a year contract by Super League club, Tianjin Quanjin. But the 28-year old rejected the offer from the club as he looks to stay in Europe.

With the Chinese transfer window closed, Chelsea could have a free run at Aubameyang this summer.

Recent reports suggest that Chelsea are in pole position for the player but Paris Saint Germain and AC Milan could make an attempt to sign the player before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea needs to act quick as they desperately need a striker next season. With under a month left, Aubameyang could be an impact signing and a perfect replacement for Diego Costa. He will also add to the Champions League experience which Conte needs if Chelsea is to put up a challenge in the prestigious competition next season.
