Pedro Caixinha has been swift in clearing the air with veteran Rangers striker Kenny Miller. The Portuguese gaffer has been shunning out the 37-year-old striker by leaving him out of recent games and forcing him to train with the under 23 squad of the Scottish side.

But as multiple reports began to come in every day, Caixinha has come out and clarified that he still considers Miller as one of the main players in his squad.

The Scottish professional footballer’s experience and knowledge of the game are vital to Caixinha and the youngsters in his squad.

The gaffer suggested that the player is “one of ours (Rangers)” multiple times in the recent press conference as he mentioned that he had a talk with the player as well.

Caixinha said that he discussed the recent developments with Miller and justified his decisions to leave the forward out of the games.

When asked about Miller’s reaction towards the treatment he has been receiving lately and more so, after Caixinha’s justification, the manager mentioned that Miller took it with full respect.

The senior player has been long enough in the game to respect the gaffer’s decisions at some points in time.

Rangers next game in the Scottish Premiership is against St. Johnstone and it remains to be seen whether Miller will be included in the squad to face the opposition.

Since the feud has now been resolved between the player and the manager, the only reason why Miller would not be a part of the game is if he is not fit enough and it seems like that might be true.

Caixinha informed the media that Miller felt something during the training and a decision over his fitness will be taken in the training session on Thursday. Even if Miller doesn’t play this game, it is refreshing to see the gaffer come out and resolve the feud with one of his senior players.
