According to a report by Metro, Paris Saint Germain are interested in the signature of N’Golo Kante. The midfielder was linked with a move to France after his spell with Leicester City but he chose to join Chelsea that summer.
N’Golo Kante is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. The French International made the move to England after his impressive spells with Caen. He joined Leicester City in the summer of 2015 for a reported transfer fee of £5.6 million.
His partnership with Drinkwater in the middle of the park was the foundation for the Foxes title-winning run during the 2015-16 season. Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte was impressed by his performances and made him his prime target on his arrival.
After spending only one season at Leicester, N’Golo Kante made the move to London for a transfer fee of £32 million. And the story repeated once again. The 26-year old played a crucial role for the Blues, helping them lift the Premier League last season.
According to Le Parisian, Paris Saint Germain boss, Unai Emery is eager to bring in N’Golo Kante next summer. The Ligue 1 side had to let go off Blaise Matuidi and Grzegorz Krychowiak in order to avoid FFP sanctions this summer.
This is not the first time that the Parisian side is looking to sign the midfielder. N’Golo Kante was on Paris Saint Germain’s radar during the 2016 summer transfer. But he opted to stay in England and decided to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
Here is what the player had to say about snubbing a move to Paris –
It’s true that PSG were like other clubs after my good season with Leicester.
But I chose Chelsea after speaking to the coach and the sporting director. And I don’t regret it.
What’s more, the league and the style of play in England pleases me.
Paris Saint-Germain has the financial muscle to make another big money next summer. According to reports, The Ligue 1 side are plotting a £90 million bid for N’Golo Kante once the transfer window opens in June 2018.
