Rangers will be facing up against St. Johnstone this weekend in the Scottish Premiership. Rangers and Johnstone are on 14 points each from the first 8 games in the league but the Gers are above the visitors due to their superior goal difference.

All eyes will be on the Gers as they need to win this one against Johnstone to keep the pressure on early leaders and the defending champions, Celtic who are six points above them.

Defence

We Foderingham has been a mainstay in the goal and is expected to start the game as well. The game will see the return of veteran Portuguese international, Bruno Alves as he pairs up with Ross McCorie. Declan John and James Tavernier are expected to be fielded as the full-backs on either side.

Midfield

Graham Dorrans is expected to retain his place in the starting eleven along with Jason Holt to partner him in the central midfield.

With Nico Kranjcar to be included as a substitute and Danny Wilson not fit enough to play the full game, Josh Windass and Daniel Candeias will be called upon by the gaffer to fill in the wide midfielder roles for the weekend.

Attack

Alfredo Morelos has been the man up front for the Scottish outfit and the striker has been in fine form this time around.

Morelos has already managed to score six goals for his team and there is no reason for Caixinha to bench him over the weekend. He is expected to be partnered with Kenny Miller who has not been able to shine as much as his counterpart.

This is how they might line up –

Foderingham; John, Alves, McCorie, Tavernier; Windass, Holt, Dorrans, Candeias; Morelos, Miller
