Rashid Sumaila is the latest player to be linked with Glasgow Rangers as they look to strengthen their team over the course of the upcoming winter transfer window as well.

The 24-year-old currently plies his trade for Al-Gharafa were he is on a loan deal from Al-Qadsia.

The Ghana international primarily plays as a centre-back but is versatility allows him to play as a right back at times as well. But it is not only the Rangers that are interested in snapping up the 24-year-old but there is some competition form the Wolves as well.

Sumaila is a very physical player and all his attributes point towards a very strong player and a rugged one as well.

While his team have reaped the benefits of Sumaila dominating the opposition in dangerous areas whenever there is a corner due to being taken or a free kick being put in the box, it is his defensive side of the game which is the most impressive.

Scouts from a lot of European clubs have been monitoring his performances over the course of the last season and this one as well and it seems that the Ghana international is finally ready for his big move to either Scotland or England.

His lack of experience might lead to a slow start in whichever country he plays but because of the physical nature of his game, there is a very small chance that Sumaila would struggle against any opposition in here.
