The Glasgow Rangers went into the transfer market with all guns blazing and with Pedro Caixinha at the helm, emerged from the window with a new looking team. We take a look at the best and the worst performers from the new additions to the Ranger’s squad before this season got under-way.

The Winners

Fabio Cardoso

The 23-year-old has been a mainstay at the back for the Rangers with Caixinha making the youngster play every single minute of the Rangers season up until now.

Graham Dorrans

One of the major signings of the summer and he has come well with five goals and two assists this season already.

Alfredo Morelos

The top scorer in the league cost just over a million in the summer. Arguably the best signing for them.

Daniel Candeias

Candeias has had a good start to life in Scotland with one goal and two assists and is bound to improve with time.

Ryan Jack

Jack has been a leader for the Rangers on the pitch and has helped the Rangers midfield tick easily.

Bruno Alves

The veteran defender is injury prone but has been Caixinha’s first choice for centre-back this time around.

Declan John

The exciting left back loves to venture forward and that helped him register two goals and an assist already.

The Losers

Carlos Pena

Pena has not been able to get fit enough to play 90 minutes and that is frustrating to see form a new signing.

Eduardo Herrera

Pena’s Mexican compatriot has not been able to get much game time himself but that has been due to his under-par performances in the league.

Aaron Nemane

Nemane has just played 10 minutes of football this season which reflects his contribution to the team.

Another player who has not been given the minutes on the pitch like Nemane.
