The biggest clash in the Premier League this weekend is Chelsea taking on Manchester United. The Blues will be hoping to pick up the three points and shrink their gap with the top 2 on the table.
Chelsea comes into the fixture with a 3-0 beating from Roma in the Champions League this week. On the other hand, Manchester United have almost secured qualification into the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League by defeating Benfica 2-0. Here is how we expect the Premier League champions to line-up on Sunday –
Thibaut Courtois is certain to start in the between the sticks for one of the most important fixtures for the Blues.
David Luiz will be starting in the centre of the three-man defence. The Brazilian will be paired with Cahill and Rudiger on either side as they look to counter Manchester United’s attacking threat.
Kante returned to training this week. But Antonio Conte revealed that he wouldn’t start the Frenchman until he is completely fit. Bakayoko and Fabregas are the most likely pairing to start in the middle of the park this weekend.
With Victor Moses still out with injury, Azpilicueta will be moved ahead and will take up his responsibilities in the right-wingback position. Alonso had an amazing start to the season but since then it’s been average. The Spaniard will be hoping to put in a performance for the Blues on Sunday.
Alvaro Morata is set to lead the Chelsea lineup against Manchester United. Antonio Conte has stuck with the forward-wing pairing of Hazard and Pedro since the former’s return to the starting XI.
The Chelsea gaffer will be hoping that the duo can create oppurtunities for Morata or even put a few goals in too.
