Marcus Rashford is one of England’s and arguably Europe’s hottest attacking properties. It all started for the youngster when he was called up by Louis van Gaal to feature in a Europa League match back in 2016, against Danish minnows Midtjylland.
Astonishingly, they had gotten the better of United in the first by a 2-1 margin. However, the Red Devils turned the tie around at the Old Trafford, which was also the debut for Rashford. Marcus, who was 18 back then struck twice in a 5-1 thumping of United’s Dane opposition.
Since then there has been no looking back from the young talent who has gone on to score in big games and single-handedly win matches for United at the tender age of 20.
However, since the arrival of Jose Mourinho, there has been a hinder in the growth of Rashford’s talent. The former Chelsea boss’ arrival was followed up by Zlatan Ibrahimovic and one year later, Romelu Lukaku.
This has prohibited Rashford from breaking into the starting line-up at the Theatre Of Dreams. He has made only 14 starts this season in the Premier League and has come off the bench on 15 occasions.
It is clearly visible that there has been a stunt in his progress, and hence, former Newcastle United star Micky Quinny has urged Rashford to leave for Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool and insists that the striker could walk into the starting eleven of the mentioned teams.
I think he’s gotta go,
He’s not a first choice for Jose Mourinho. He is not first choice. The kid is one of the most exciting players we’ve seen in a Manchester United shirt – I’ve got to say that.
He scores goals – you saw the two he scored against Liverpool, two fantastic goals cutting in from the left.
If he wants to be a regular, I don’t think it’s with Jose Mourinho. Lukaku is the first choice on the pitch.
