According to a report published by Calciomercato, Morata is likely to make a move away from Chelsea this summer. The Spanish International is set to join Juventus on a 2-year loan deal with an option to make it permanent at the end of the stint.
Alvaro Morata was one of the biggest signings in the Premier League last summer. The 25-year old striker had a fantastic start to life in London, scoring 6 goals in his first six Premier League appearances. However things have gone downhill since then, he managed only 5 goals in the remaining 24 appearances.
The Spanish striker is likely to miss out a ticket to Russia for this summer’s World Cup due to his performances. Chelsea are seemingly open to the idea of selling the striker in the upcoming transfer window. Paris Saint Germain and Juventus have shown interest in Morata over the past weeks.
Media outlet, Tuttosport claim that the Blues have agreed to loan out the player to Juventus this summer. Chelsea are looking to recuperate the £60 million spent by them on Morata.
The Old Lady have offered to pay £15 million for a 2-year loan deal. At the end of the loan, Juventus are ready to pay £45 million for Morata to sign him on a permanent basis. This would mean Chelsea making their money back on the striker in three years effectively.
Calciomercato suggests that Morata is pushing for a move back to Juventus this summer. The Spaniard needs to get his career back on track and believes a move to Turin is the right move. This week, Juventus received a big boost in their pursuit of Morata. Paris Saint Germain are likely to be handed sanctions for flirting with FFP rules this summer.
However quick sales at the starting of the transfer window might bring them back into the frame. It will be interesting to see how will the Morata situation pan out in London in the upcoming months.
