Chelsea and Germany defender Antonio Rudiger will not travel to Germany for the preparations before their UEFA Nations League games.
Rudiger will in turn, stay back and focus on coming back into fitness for Chelsea’s next game against Manchester United.
The German defender needed attention from the medical staff after the 3-0 win over Southampton but has voiced out that he aims to be back soon. The former Roma man issued a statement on Twitter stating –
I won’t be available for the @dfb_team for the upcoming 2 matches due to a groin problem. I will do some individual training sessions during the int. break and I’m confident to be back soon?? Best of luck to my German teammates for the next 2 games ???? #Hustle #AlwaysBelieve

The rock-solid defender has played and featured in seven of his team’s eight Premier League matches this season, in which he formed a partnership with David Luiz at the heart of Maurizio Sarri’s defence.
The fans and staff at Stamford Bridge will hope that Rudiger recovers from the minor setback in time and before the International Break comes to an end.
